2011 Rendezvous and Cruise Schedule

Day 1: Wednesday, July 27

• 12:00–5:00 Arrive ar Essex Island Marina - pick up NENTOA registration materials
• 5:00 Rum Party on the marina covered deck
• 5:45 Potluck Dinner (bring an entree or dessert to share)
• 7:00 Association business meeting
  Presentation by Bill Sisson on Disasters at Sea

Day 2: Thursday, July 28

• 7:30 Coffee
• 8:30 Full Breakfast
• 9:00 Welcome & Introductions from Commodore of NENTOA, Wilde Yachts & Nordic Tugs
• 10:00– 11:00 Seminar 1
• 11:15– 12:15 Seminar 2
• 12:15 Lunch
• 1:15 Mystic Seaport on the Restoration of the Whaler Charles W. Morgan
• 2:15 Walking Tour of Historic Essex - this is an alternate to other afternoon activities
• 2:15 Live Flare Demonstration & Participation
• 3:15 Live Docking Demonstration
• 4:15 Life Raft Demo & Vessel Safety Checks
• 5:30 Cocktail Party on the deck
• 6:30 A NEW approach to dinner on the deck at Essex Island Marina (served hors d'ouevres and various "stations" for entrees. Come & go to the stations as you like
• 7:30 Raffle

Day 3: Friday, July 29

• 7:30 Coffee
• 8:30 Full Breakfast
• 9:00 Russ Jones on his recent visit to Nordic Tugs & Tour
• 9:20 Skippers' meeting for mooring accommodations in Hamburg Cove & Cruise Instructions (Herb Nickles)
• 11:30 Parade of tugs along the Essex Waterfront (Dress Ship if possible) and then informally to Hamburg Cove for a leisurely afternoon
• 5:00 Dinghy to host boat Nordic Lady, Nordic Tug 54, for BYO cocktails & BYO hors d’oeuvres

Day 4: Friday, July 30

• Optional Two week Cruise

NENTOA Rendezvous Cruises

These two nordic cruises will start immediately after the rendezvous, and include and island tour and whale watching.
